Hello Peter,

I think the Dynex Page is very good. You're providing a great deal of insight into the firm's approach. I have to admit, also, I'm a bit surprised at how current your recommendations appear to be. Most advisors I've seen on the Web wait 48 hours or more to post their latest. Perhaps I'm wrong, but...

The family name information is quite intriguing. Your focus is on the Bavarian & Austrian areas and the derivations from there. My father doesn't agree with "forest warden" for our line. We appear to be from Prussia, perhaps Lippe in Nordheim/Westphalen. He's going to get me copies of his research later in the week. I'll pass that along later.

I found this just this past weekend, and you might find it interesting to look up http://www.hps.com/~tpg/gbook/public/331.html

This is the biography info of the family Poeppelmeier which settled in Franklin Co., Missouri. This is southwest of St. Louis along the Missouri River. There is a great deal of Panhorst interaction w/ Poeppelmeier in this area. While many of the Panhorst names mentioned in these bio's are familiar and identical to names in my direct relations, we think there must be a common link "off screen" from these families. We are stymied, I think, with my father's grandfather or great-grandfather - Johann Adolph Panhorst. He was either the immigrant or where the U.S. line goes blank. My grandfather was Fred Charles William Panhorst (clearly the americanized version of the Kaiser's name).

Enough for the moment, have to tend to dinner.

Cheers, Peter. Talk to you soon...
